FCA Impact 11U fend off the Schaumburg Flyers’s late push, hold on 7-5

The Schaumburg Flyers weren’t able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against FCA Impact 11U, and the Schaumburg Flyers lost 7-5 to FCA Impact 11U after falling behind by five runs in the fifth inning.

The Schaumburg Flyers scored three runs in the sixth on a two-run error. Despite their efforts, the Schaumburg Flyers couldn’t finish the comeback.

FCA Impact 11U stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring three runs on a groundout by Nick Sachse and two singles.

After pushing across one run in the top of the second, the Schaumburg Flyers faced just a 3-2 deficit. A wild pitch triggered the Schaumburg Flyers’ comeback. Finally, Levi Gingerich got Krueger to strike out to end the threat.

FCA Impact 11U piled on four more runs in the bottom of the fifth. A wild pitch scored Caleb Varney for the inning’s first run.
