FCA Impact 11u win first two games at Christmas in June tournament in Schaumburg to take number 2 seed into second day

  • Scoreboard operators were busy at Olympic Park Field 3: Schaumburg, IL on Saturday as FCA Impact 11U and the Leyden Eagles combined for 21 runs. FCA Impact 11U eventually won the offensive battle 13-8 in six innings.
  • The teams banged out 17 hits hits between them, as well as three for extra bases.
  • The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with five lead changes.
  • FCA Impact 11U finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. FCA Impact 11U scored on a two-run home run by Jack G off Bieniek, scoring Thomas S.
  • Gannon H racked up five RBIs on three hits for FCA Impact 11U. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.
  • The Leyden Eagles jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Mcbrien kicked things off for the Leyden Eagles with a single. The Leyden Eagles pushed more runs across when Oneill scored on an RBI single by Torres, Mcbrien scored on an RBI single by Traficanti, and scored.
  • The Leyden Eagles pushed across one run in both the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, the Leyden Eagles scored on an RBI single by Najera, bringing home Bieniek.
  • The Leyden Eagles scored one run in the bottom of the sixth to cut their deficit to five. A groundout by Bieniek triggered the Leyden Eagles’ comeback. Jack got the last out, as the Leyden Eagles’ Hernandez.

    • FCA Impact 11U jumped out to an early lead on Lincoln Way Prospects Orange and captured an 18-3 victory on Saturday at Olympic Park Field 3: Schaumburg, IL.
    • With 12 runs in the first three innings, FCA Impact 11U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
    • Sam racked up three RBIs on three hits for FCA Impact 11U.
    • FCA Impact 11U easily handled Lincoln Way Prospects Orange pitching as eight hitters combined for 12 hits, 16 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
    • FCA Impact 11U tacked on another five runs in the third. A error scored Gannon H for the inning’s first run.
    • FCA Impact 11U built upon its lead with six runs in the fourth. Thomas S homered, bringing home Diego R and Mikey W to start the inning. That was followed up by Justin’s single, scoring Jack.
