IMPACT BOARD
JOHN ROMAN, FOUNDER & COMMISSIONER
Since founding Impact in 2013 John has been its primary ambassador. Professionally John owns and manages a real estate investment company (Invest With Purpose LLC) and a remodeling company (Ministry Investments & Improvements LLC). He also started Impact Charities, a 501c3, which allocates a percentage of his businesses’ profits to help local and international ministries, as well as the needs of families in our local communities. John is married and has three children including his son whom he coached for five years with Impact.
SCOTT LARSEN, PRESIDENT
Scott managed with Impact from 2015-2018 and has served on the Board since 2016. He led the first 13U trip to the Dominican Republic in 2017 and now organizes the trip each year. Professionally Scott is a Managing Director at Guggenheim Investments where he helps run the Unit Investment Trust business line. Scott played baseball for Wheaton College where he received his BA and MA. He lives in Wheaton with his wife and five children.
DAN LOTSPEICH, VICE PRESIDENT
Dan has managed youth sports teams since 2012, and managed with Impact from 2017-2020. In 2019 he led his team’s Dominican Republic mission trip including the coordination of fundraising and logistics. He joined the Board in 2019. For almost 25 years Dan has worked for Fiserv, a global leader in financial services technology solutions and currently serves as Manager of Business System Analysis where he leads a team of Analysts who develop Business Intelligence and Marketing Automation solutions. Dan and his wife Hayley have been married for 24 years and have two sons. The Lotspeich family attends Chaplestreet Church in Geneva, IL.
ANTHONY HALPIN, TREASURER
Anthony has managed with Impact since 2021 and served on the Board since 2022. Anthony has been a part of Chicago Partners Wealth Advisors since the inception of the firm and has been a partner since the beginning of 2011. Anthony has over 20 years of experience working with high net worth individuals and works closely with the clients to maintain and build current and existing relationships. Anthony graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance. Anthony lives in Wheaton, IL with his wife Simone and their children, Mattie, Eli, Asher, and Liv and is a member of Glen Ellyn Bible Church.
BRYAN CHAPMAN, SECRETARY
Bryan has coached youth baseball since 2016. He joined Impact in 2019, when his oldest son joined the 10U team, and Bryan joined the Board in the Spring of 2022. He and his wife have three boys. Bryan is a graduate of Anderson University and the University of Missouri Law School. Bryan is a state court judge for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, a role in which he has served since 2016. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Bryan was an attorney in private practice in Chicago. Additionally, Bryan serves as a lecturer at Wheaton College. Both Bryan and his wife are active in their local church, having served in a variety of roles from Elder to preschool Sunday School teacher.
ROBB LEMP, DIRECTOR
Robb has been on the Board and managed in the program since 2013. Robb is responsible for organizing the discipleship training of the Impact coaches, as well as organizing the program’s tournament activities. Robb is an electrician by trade and is involved in leadership at his church. He lives in Wheaton with his wife and six kids.
MATT HUSTED, DIRECTOR, HEAD OF BASEBALL DEVELOPMENT
Matt joined Impact in 2016 and has served on the Board since that time. He heads up Baseball Development for Impact, including the training of our coaches. He is the Head Baseball Coach at Wheaton College and has been coaching at the College level for 25 years. Prior to Wheaton College, Husted coached at the University of Michigan, University of Toledo, Ball State University, Eastern Illinois University, & Grace College. He has been on 20+ baseball-related mission trips in 8 countries.
JOSH YOUNCE, DIRECTOR
Josh began coaching with Impact in 2016 and joined the board in 2018. He played college baseball at Carson Newman College in Tennessee before moving to the Chicago area to continue his education. He has practiced as a chiropractic physician for the past twenty years, serving as the team doctor for several area sports organizations. He is married to Cheri and together they have a daughter Sydney and son Jackson.
