CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT and SPIRITUAL GROWTH are central to everything we do.

That’s why when we started hosting tournaments in the fall of 2021 to raise money for the next summer’s trips to the Dominican Republic, we decided to do something special. In honor of the founder of FCA Impact Baseball, John Roman, we—much to the surprise of John—came up with the idea for the John Roman Impact Player Award.

At the end of every pool play game during our tournaments both managers in every game vote for one player on their own team and one from the opposing team who represent what the word “IMPACT” was originally intended to stand for:

Integrity

Maturity

Perseverance

Attitude

Character

Team Player

The recognition of the significance of this award has grown quickly among the managers and the players. It’s always a great reminder that not only are we to play our hardest on the field, but we’re to play well and try to make an IMPACT.
